One hour to unblock your freelance business.

You've read my posts on LinkedIn or met me on ADPList. This is the prepared, one-to-one version: a private call on the question that holds your business back, and a written plan afterwards.

[ Who it's for ]

For product and UX designers building a freelance business.

Wherever you are in it, the hour starts from your situation, not from a script.

Employed

Employed, planning the jump

You have a job and a few years of design behind you. You want to go freelance, but not without clients lined up.

“I want to go freelance, but not without clients lined up.”

Freelance < 1 year

Freelance for less than a year

Your first projects came from your network. You don't know where the next one will come from.

“I don't know where my next project will come from.”

Freelance 1+ years

Freelance, referrals drying up

You've freelanced for a while. Work comes in waves, and you only prospect when a project ends.

“I only prospect when a project ends.”

[ What we can work on ]

Bring the question that's blocking you.

These are the topics that come up most in my sessions. If yours isn't here, bring it anyway.

Positioning

  • Who should I sell to?
  • Generalist or specialist?

Pricing & day rate

  • How much should I charge?
  • How do I raise my rates with current clients?

Your offer

  • What exactly am I selling?
  • How do I package design work into an offer?

Finding clients

  • Where will my next client come from?
  • What do I write in a first message?

Calls & proposals

  • How do I run a discovery call?
  • Why don't my proposals turn into projects?

Going freelance

  • When is the right time to quit my job?
  • What should be in place before I do?

[ How it works ]

From booking to your next actions.

  1. 1Step

    Book a slot

Pick a time that works for you. One session is 60 minutes, $200.

  2. 2Step

    Fill in your session brief

After booking, a short guided questionnaire builds your brief: where you are, what you want from the hour, your links. About 5 minutes, and I review it before we meet.

  3. 3Step

    We talk it through

A video call, straight on your case. No generic framework: your clients, your prices, your messages.

  4. 4Step

    You leave with a plan

A short written recap after the call: what we decided and your next actions.

[ Pricing ]

One session, one price.

1:1 coaching session

$200/ 60 min

One hour on your own business, so you stop guessing and know exactly what to do next.

  • A clear answer to your question
  • Your offer and price, reworked
  • A written plan with your next actions

“What makes Lucas stand out is that he is direct and acknowledges that coaching only works if you work. He explores the outputs YOU want then uses his experience to guide you towards them.”

[ Questions ]

Before you book

Compare it to what's at stake. If the hour helps you raise your day rate by $50, it pays for itself within a week of billed work. If it helps you land one client, it pays for itself many times over. You leave with decisions and a written plan, not a page of notes.

The general advice, yes. What you can't get for free is someone looking at your offer, your prices and your messages, and telling you exactly what to change. That's what the hour is for.

Coaching on your own business is usually a professional expense for freelancers. You get a receipt when you book.

ADPList sessions are open to everyone and shorter. This one is a full hour, prepared from what you send me, focused only on your business, and followed by a written recap.

Just your session brief. After booking, a short guided questionnaire walks you through it: where you are, what you want from the hour, and your links (portfolio, LinkedIn, current offer). It takes about 5 minutes, and I review it before we meet so we start on your case from minute one.

Yes. Describe your situation and what feels stuck. I'll suggest where to focus before the call so the hour goes to the part that matters most.

Yes. A second session a few weeks later is a good way to review what you applied and adjust.

No. The course is a full program that opens later, with its own waitlist. A session is one hour on your own question, available now.

English or French, whichever you prefer.
